Counties split over the Pendleton bill with Multnomah and Jackson backing Weston while Benton and Lane favored Pendleton. Totals show Pendleton yes about 06,616 against 109,082. Weston committee raised 707.71 to defeat the measure. Pendleton spent 14,962.66 in the campaign.
