The Oregon state grange plans its spring meeting in Galem. Posts and appointments shuffle with resignations in Salem and Portland. A broad range of state affairs include dam safety, hatcheries, road projects, college and university staffing, court and legal notices, and local industry updates.
President Wilson orders Herbert Hoover to organize a new food administration to promote conservation and waste elimination. He plans enlistment of every housewife via state defense councils and women's groups to teach saving food and prudent purchasing. Senate action follows passage delays on the administration food bill.

Mr Hoover appeals to 100,000 clergymen through the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America to promote the largest possible food production with minimal waste.
