School Election Next Tuesday Night

The annual school meeting and election of trustees and voting for appropriations will be held Tuesday evening at the new High School from eight o clock onward. Four trustees will be elected to fill vacancies from the terms of Walter A Peropsey John Al Denis FW Ileserth and the unexpired term of I Grape who resigned.

Fire extinguishers for policy holders offer

A local notice describes mutual fire insurance companies offering policyholders discounted dry chemical fire extinguishers. Readers are urged to clip a coupon and bring it to the Leader for a small model at 49 cents or a larger one at 98 cents, with nearby villages adopting the program.

Panama Exposition Commissioner Tuttle Returns Home

HonWilliam K E Tuttle returns from Panama after six weeks as United States Commissioner to the Panama Exposition. In a Tivol Hotel farewell March 4 Col W R Margerum joined him. Tuttle received a gold breast shield relic. He praised the exposition and noted canal work progress and plans to keep the channel clear after dredging.

Current Events at the Womans Club Highlights

Dr. William Starr Myers of Princeton spoke on Current Events, praising Wilson's government while criticizing his handling of Mexico and urging intervention and preparedness. Miss Winifred Barr performed Chopin, and during the meeting Mrs. Condit donated twenty-one years of club programs. Leigh Perssali offered Indian relics for display at next meeting.

Clinks Nominate Two Candidates for School Election

The Committee of Control of the B. P. district met and decided to field Edwin H. Oswald and Walter H. Taverner as the sole ticket for the upcoming school election next Tuesday. A platform was prepared and ordered printed in town newspapers.

PUPILS IN FANCY DANCES AT WESTFIELD THEATRE

The pupils of Miss Denman’s dancing class present this afternoon at the Westfield Theatre Assembly Hall. Besides ballroom dances, the program features an exhibition waltz by Mina Dorothy Roy and Master Edward Date, aesthetic solo by Miss Catherine Nicholas, a group Dutch dance by fifteen girls, and butterfly dances by a long list of Miss Roy Hajikano et al.

Lent sermons at Congregational Church outline cross themed series

The Rev. L Loomis began a Lent sermon series titled The World as Seen from the Cross at the Congregational Church. Last Sunday's talk was The Soldiers, with five remaining titles The Women The Passers by The Priests The Thieves and The Beloved Disciple. A Woodruff's Market ad promotes corned beef plates at 10 13 and 23 cents per pound and rump pieces at 18 and 6 cents per pound.
