The Masonic Club hosted a successful g and party at Westfield auditorium with 68 at bridge 127 at Five Hundred 44 to play. Prizes included cut glass, cigars, and a necktie while Mrs J G Peirce and others won top awards. The Bronner Orchestra provided dancing into the night.

Fire damages chicken coop on East Broad Street
Firefighters were called to the Hooper property on East Broad Street near Fairview Cemetery to fight a blaze in a chicken coop owned by John Davidson. The snow hindered access but the team saved a nearby barn and other outbuildings while the chicken house and 25 fowls burned. Davidson estimates losses at 200 dollars.
