Christmas Services Highlight Holiday Music Across Churches
Christmas music and decorations filled Protestant services last Sunday in multiple churches. The Congregational church featured morning and evening carols, with the Sunday School presenting a 3 pm service titled In the Service of the King. The First M. E. K. church and Presbyterian church offered notable performances, while Holy Trinity Roman Catholic and St Paul’s Episcopal conducted services and masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

Minstrel Show Planned by McKinley PTA for Washington Birthday
The McKinley School PTA plans a minstrel show and dance for Washington's Birthday eve Friday February 21 in the School Auditorium. George M. Grove chairs the entertainment committee and 36 cast members have been chosen with rehearsals to start next week. The event will feature purely local talent and may attract large crowds. a nominal entrance and a candy cake and ice cream booth are planned.

Two Deaths Reported This Morning in Westfield
Selah H. Huyler aged 41 of Ferris Place died at home after a year of illness caused by multiple diseases. He worked for the Aeolian Company and Marconi Wireless and was active in local Old Masonic and Sons of Liberty groups. he is survived by his wife and five children. Mrs Sadie Elizabeth Miller aged 68 of Springfield Road died after heart trouble. she was a Presbyterian and is survived by her husband, a sister, and a nephew. Also notice a holiday fruit tree and evergreen sale from Woodruff and Son on East Broad Street in Westfield.
