Train Strikes Lumber Wagon Killing Horse and Injuring Driver
A fast freight train bound for New York hit a lumber wagon at the Central Avenue crossing yesterday at 6 46 am. The horse died and the driver Matt Slaughter was badly injured and taken to Elizabeth Hospital. The wagon belonged to Crickenberger Brothers and the gates were reportedly not down.

Arrest of Donalo Gallo in New York Extradition Sought
Chief O Neill seized Donalo Gallo on the top floor of 60 Mott Street in New York for obtaining money under false pretenses and penury. Judge Barlow set bail at 5000 for extradition.
