Firemen used two auto engine streams but could not save the building valued at 20000 dollars with insured ownership by the Sergeant Hatate. No lives were lost though Useless losses included moving picture parlor costumes and stage equipment worth about 100 dollars and $6000 in unins ured paraphernalia. The large roof and tower collapsed twenty minutes after the alarm. Nearby officials praised the new engine and the quick reaction of the Westfield crew.
