A separate item offers a reward for a finder of a lost item with initials C. P. D., left at the office or with owner Chas P. Davis four miles east of town.

L Z Smith visited town Monday with samples of feterita, the forage crop gaining attention for its drought resistance. He raised it on his Downs-area farm, presenting a single stool containing six large heads. He planted five acres of feterita around mid May beside a nearby silo, maize, and kafir.
