Fair at Trego County draws large crowd and prize list
Last Friday September 2 Trego County held its first fair with strong turnout about fourteen hundred attendees. Wa Keeney beat the home team 11 to 4 in a baseball game. Entries in vegetables fruits and livestock won prizes for Barley Corn Potatoes Wheat and more. Local clubs and businesses showcased farm machinery furniture and textiles with notable displays from Ross Waldo Larabee Furniture Co and Mrs Moore.

Local court notices and a probate decision highlighted the public notices. Vernie Kiser, a nearby resident, was declared insane and may be sent to Lincoln for treatment.
