Reunion of 1909 Trego County High graduates spans years

The 1909 class conducts a Round Robin reunion letter tracing eleven years of graduates lives. Irene C. Tourist club hosts Russia program and district notices

Last Friday the Tourist club and guests met at Mrs. T. B. Hays home with Mrs. A. B. Jones greeting them. A varied program on Russia featured readings on Russian festivities and Pushkin plus a reading of Babs and the Little Gray Man. A duet and solos accompanied by Miss Kirby and Mrs. Niesley delighted attendees. A turkey banquet followed. Events include a November 20 meeting in WaKeeney with elections and Red Cross nurse service planning, plus a November 24 box supper at Rinker school. Presbyterian notes announce a New Era conference on Friday November 19 and a Young Church sermon Sunday morning, with later reports from Lyons on the Christian Endeavor convention and a Knight Templar meeting November 27. A Harvest Festival box supper and German language service are planned.

Red Cross pupil examinations planned at multiple district schools

Teachers and parents urged to attend. exams free. Box Supper For Prairie Home School In Graham County

A box supper to benefit Prairie Home school will be held at the Prairie Home church Wednesday evening. Funds raised support school activities and programs in the community. Local residents are urged to attend and bring a boxed meal for donation.

Funeral for Miss Carrie Stradal in WaKeeney church

In WaKeeney the funeral of Miss Carrie Stradal was held at the Presbyterian church. Rev F A Heizer officiated with S J Straw directing. Miss Stradal, born October 16 1873 in Bohemia, rose from pioneer life to Kansas educator and county superintendent. She died after a long illness, leaving bereaved parents and relatives with deep sorrow. The family lot in Wa Keeney Cemetery holds her remains.
