Nominating Petitions Rules and County Clerk’s View
Nomination petitions close around June 23 with three petitions from each precinct. Petitions must reflect 3 to 10 percent of votes cast for secretary of state in 1912 or for the successful candidate if new party. Circulators need not belong to the same party but affidavits note intent to support the named candidate. Signers must be voters and residents of the petition’s precinct, while circulators may differ. A county resident calls the petition process an embarrassing nuisance and a voter may oppose any legislator who won’t seek repeal.

Six Cows Add Big Profit To Farming
An agricultural note argues a six cow dairy yields far more cash and utility than two. Six cows provide milk cream butter for a family, extra cream sales, and potential income from calves and manure, with manageable extra labor and modest equipment costs. Ads follow for range, a red yearling bull, and harvest help funding through the state employment bureau.
