Kansas Republican Platform Reaffirms McKinley Support

The Kansas Republican platform endorses President McKinley’s administration, lauds war and peacetime achievements, and calls for uninterrupted support for his term. It condemns Democratic policies in the Philippines and Puerto Rico, defends gold standard parity, opposes trusts, and urges enhanced anti trust and anti monopoly legislation. It also reaffirms reciprocity principles and seeks remedy for disenfranchisement in the South.

Republican State Platform Endorses W. E. Stanley and Railroad Reform

The Kansas Republican platform lauds Governor W. E. Stanley for economy and effective administration, endorses U S senators and congressmen, condemns the fusion era railroad laws as robbing the people and calls for restoration of railroad oversight, just rates, and a strengthened railroad board. It urges amendment of the Interstate Commerce Act to enforce fair freight rates, supports liberal Civil War pensions, and proposes voting rights for railroad workers on election days.

Ness County Holiness camp to be held at Brownell
