The Locust club held its last regular meeting at Mrs. J. G Hixson home with guest Miss Inglis of Milwaukee and national peace program. Officers elected for next year are Mrs. F C Wollner president Mrs C K Selfers vice president Mrs T Purcell secretary Mrs C L Hardman treasurer and Mrs J C Cortright historian. A six oclock dinner followed a piano solo by Lauretta Fixson and the club adjourned with thanks to the hostess. Weather notes report 2.73 inches rainfall for the week and a minimum Friday morning of 33 degrees.
Saturday May 29th a glasses fitter offers to prepare and fit eyewear for all eye types. He has practiced for twenty three years and says he has succeeded where others failed. All work guarantees.
The Ben Greet Woodland Players, famed for White House performances and endorsed by Woodrow Wilson, will present Twelfth Night at 5 PM and The Taming of the Shrew at 3:30 PM on Thursday May 27 at Fort Hays Normal. Outdoor shows anticipated, with auditorium fallback if weather blocks. Tickets priced series 2.00 1.78 1.25 and single 1.50 1.00 0.75. Miss Bisache Paulkter and Jane Herrington visited Colby relatives.
The Santor class presented The Village Lawyer to a sold out High School auditorium on May 7. The seniors followed with class sermon May 11 and a second division play May 19. Graduation May 20 featured Rev. Blayney of Abilene, with music by the chorus and quartet. Seventy five alumni attended the banquet, officers were elected, and the year closed with thanks to faculty. Twenty nine graduates listed with a large turnout.

Improvements extend from the court room to the superintendent’s office, with plans to store bulletins and pamphlets accessibly for teachers and schools.
