Anniversary Observed by Odd Fellows at Hays Kansas
The Golden Belt Association of Independent Order of Odd Fellows held its ninety sixth founding anniversary in Hays April 27 with many lodges from Ellsworth Wilson and more attending. About 800 members were represented in processions and a daylong program at Fort Hays Normal School and G A R hall concluding with banquets and speeches by dignitaries. Delegates from the East departed by train around midnight while western delegates enjoyed local games before their trains. The day included an executive session electing officers and plans for a Kansas Sunday School Association annual meeting in Topeka May 4 to 6 drawing an estimated 5000 attendees and rail service expansions to accommodate crowds up to 10000.

Obituary for Bay Newton Gleason of Kiowa and Wa-Keeney
Bay Newton Gleason was born in Kiowa Colorado in 1879 and died in Denver Colorado on April 22 1915 in his 36th year. He moved with his parents to Wa Keeney Kansas in 1883 and spent most of his life on a ranch northwest of town. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Ida Pierson conducted by Rev. S L Allison with Masonic lodge and Eastern Star members in attendance. interment followed in Wa-Keeney city cemetery with Masonic rites. The Gumason family extend sincere sympathy and gratitude for the kind acts and floral offerings.
