A Good Woman Passes Away Clarinda J Sanderson Shepperd

Clarinda Jane Sanderson Shepperd born July 14 1833 near Browns town Indiana married J W Shepherd in 1850. The couple moved to Lucas County Iowa in 1851 and built a small home in breast township. They joined the Christian church in Chariton and raised seven children.

Family of college graduates attend funeral in Mescan

The Powers family, all college graduates with multiple degrees, attended the March 16, 1107, service at the homestead. Mrs. Shepperd and others recall Linda Tempels’s illness in 1897 and a testimonial touts Kodol as a life saver, advertised by W. W Gibson. The service was led by O L Dunkleberger, pastor of the Christian Church in Chayitan Town.
