From the State Agricultural College in Manhattan Kansas March says that planting a few acres to early maturing corn can yield grain by August. Prof L E Call notes last year’s short corn crop may leave farmers seedless or forced to pay high prices. He recommends sowing seed of varieties that mature in about ninety days, using home grown or early season seed sources.
