Obituary of John B. Biehler in Kansas community
John Baptiste Biehler born November 19 1850 in Gemur Alsace Lorraine served in the Franco Prussian War 1870. He immigrated to America landing in New York 1874, then Illinois, Kansas and ten years in Colorado with Union Pacific. He married Emily C. Stimits on October 10 1883, had seven children, lived a steadfast Catholic life, died February 27 1918 at home. Funeral held at 2:00 p.m. Friday conducted by Rev Stringer Banner Kansas, buried Wa Keeney Cemetery. The family thanks neighbors and friends for support and flowers.

Obituary of Mrs. Mary E. Kulp Pioneer WaKeeney resident dies at 77
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Kearl Kulp died at her home Tuesday morning March 8 or 9 in WaKeeney Kansas at age 77 after long rheumatic illness. Born March 15, 1841 near Louisville Kentucky she married John Kulp in 1862 and had seven children Jesse Florence Charles Cora William George Christ all surviving. A Kentucky native she moved to Indiana then Kansas living in Dickinson and later Trego County eight miles southwest of town before settling in WaKeeney in 1906. Known as a tireless worker and hospitable pioneer wife she provided warmth and welcome to neighbors and travelers for many years.
