The legislature approved a corporate tax law shifting annual fees from individuals to corporations. Domestic and foreign firms except certain non profits will pay yearly fees based on capital, with rates from one to several thousand dollars. Auto Crash Near Town Injures Nine and a Baby

Locust Club Banquet Draws Deep Interest At Purcell Home

On Friday February 21 Locust club held its sixth annual baronet at Mr and Mrs I T Purcell home entertaining husbands. The dining room showcased crimson carnations and fine tableware. Monday morning ranged to four below at Topeka and Wa-Keeney, while mid distance between them dropped 10 to 11 degrees lower in an unusual temperature swing.
