Cattle Movement Rules Relaxed County Quarantine Rules Expanded
Topeka June 23 The state live stock sanitary commission issued a bulletin easing the western Kansas quarantine. Cattle may now move within a county or to an adjoining county without dipping, and shipments out of state or to in state markets for immediate slaughter may occur without inspection or dipping. Sheriffs may inspect dipped cattle for lawful movement and fees may be collected. The deadline for dipping extended to September 1. Quarantined counties listed include Cheyenne Rawlins Decatur Sheridan Thomas Sherman Graham and others.
