A disastrous blaze at Burkholder auto garage yesterday afternoon killed proprietor Harry Burkholder. Firefighter efforts kept the flames from neighboring structures as seven cars burned, and Burkholder, severely burned, died about ten last night after attempting to reach an upstairs blanket to smother the flames.
The obituary describes Harry Burkholder as a fine man, a straight business person and moral example in a depraved age. He died around ten o'clock that night, about 40 years old and unmarried. The funeral is set for Friday at ten o'clock at the Methodist church, of which he was a member, in Mirerow.

A warrant issued by CG Berry justice of the peace led to McCanies arrest by Sheriff Woodford. he posted bond and was released. Charge listed is attempt to commit rape. preliminary hearing expected soon. Also a local ad for Chamberlains Tablets.
