Giants in History and the Myth of a Race of Giants
Count Alexander Louis St. Quen de Pierrecourt dies at Rouen leaving a large fortune to fund a race of giants who marry and have children. The plan fails as giants produce weak offspring. Prussian giants in Potsdam also fail to found a lasting giant race. Notable giants include Patrick O'Brien and Charles Byrne. Historical tall tales from France and Patagonia are discussed, with skepticism about verified measurements.
