Pioneering Swedish Soldier Johnson Dies in Riverside
Andrew Johnson, born in Sweden on December 14 1536 and a Civil War veteran, longtime Riverside Township pillar, died January 22 1911 aged nearly years. A pioneer of Trego County he served in Co D 57th Illinois and was buried January 24 at Swedish Lutheran church yard. He leaves a wife two sons and three daughters. He belonged to Geo Ellis Post Hills and loved the flag.
