A local promotion offers a free pound with the purchase of three pounds of Bell Coffee. Customers enjoyed free cups recently and the shop markets a 30 cent pound option or a deal: buy three pounds and get a fourth free.
About 400 legal voters signed petitions urging the county commissioners to call a special election for bonds to build and equip a county high school. Petitions circulated in Riverside Ogallah Voda Colyer and Wa Keeney precincts amid poor roads. The proposal argues bonds spread cost over 10 to 20 years, funding would accelerate building and equiping now to save costs, with a 229000 bond limit and 5 percent maximum interest. A. S. Peacock signs off in support.
The report to the Trego County High School board covers the month ending December 22 1911 with enrollment attendance and tardiness details. It notes strong class work in normal training agriculture domestic science and art, plus exhibits in domestic art physics and botany. Attendance is 98.3 percent and senior retention is highlighted alongside student fluctuations and county withdrawals.
