On Friday January 10 Mr and Mrs J F Jones held a card party in honor of their nineteenth wedding anniversary. Refreshments were served and guests included James C Hille J C Cortright W W Gibson A H Blair W L Larabee Chas Steinberger C R Kirby and sister Miss Hattie Kirby Mrs A R Tabor Crider Mo had long suffered headaches but Chamberlains Tablets helped, with two bottles curing her. Will Carleton Dies in Brooklyn
Will Carleton poet newspaper man and lecturer died at his Brooklyn home on December 1% of pneumonia after an illness of three days. Born in 1845 in Hudson Michigan he studied at Hillsdale College and wrote Fox a political poem that gained him early fame. He edited the Detroit Tribune and Everywhere magazine and lectured widely.
