Wheat growers meet nationwide association schedule
The National Wheat Growers Association plans meetings in WaKeeney on January 15 at 2 p.m. at the Willcox school house, 13 miles south of WaKeeney. An event in Ogallah is set for January 17 at 2 p.m. and another in Cgollyer on January 18 at 2 p.m. Organizer Mr A Stsugher will speak. All wheat growers are urged to attend and notify neighbors.

Commissioners Proceedings of local government meeting

Numerous bonds were approved for county officials and local trustees. Attempted Hold Up at Collyer
Dick Reynolds a man about forty is jailed in Wa Keeney on a charge of attempting to hold up the night man at Collyer. A scuffle left the depot man stabbed in the right arm with a tool. Reynolds fled but was captured about a half mile east of Voda and identified by a priest who said the man had visited him the night before seeking food. He had no weapon or money when arrested.

Sunday Church Notes Highlight Uplifting Quarterly Meeting
The Sunday Quarterly meeting uplifted the congregation with two sermons by the District Superintendent and strong Sunday School and Epworth League attendance. Miss Houston led Twila Campbell in the pantomime Nearer My God to Thee during the Christmas program. Monday’s arrival meeting elected new officers and planned the year. two weeks hence a series of special meetings with song leader Richard Low is planned. Tuesday the Ladies Aid held an all day meeting at Mrs Hillis with good attendance.
