Mrs Celia W Hutchison wife of Curtis M Hutchison of this city died at home Saturday evening after influenza complicated by heart trouble. Born in Osage City Kansas December 23 1890 she died on her 38th birthday. She and Curtis M Hutchison married May 1 at Osage City and lived in Wa Keeney. Survived by son James age three and her mother Mrs White attended the bedside. The bereaved husband and family receive deep sympathy.
On March 11, 1894 the editor of the World bought the paper from S.R. Cowick and has run the paper since. The note honors decades of growth from a small operation to a leading local newsroom in Wa-Keeney. The piece introduces new managers Fred Shaw and J. W. Bingham, urges patronage, and announces the editor's retirement to rest, while remaining in Wa-Keeney with future plans to garden and fish.
Francis Walker, a young Bowling boy and eldest of seven, has been appointed cook in General Pershing's camp in France after training in cooking in the U. S. He is nephew of Frank B. Walker. Friends expect to sample his cooking upon his return. Mrs Rudolph Horak is listed among influenza victims.
