Rail project expands right of way work in Garden City region

The Nebraska Kan and Southern Railway Co expands its right of way team for the Garden City to Stockton line. M. and Michaelson of Beloit and O. O. Osborn of Stockton join, with deeds prepared by McCarty in Garden City. Work will move through Finney Hodgeman and Ness counties as crews clear and secure 162 miles of route, with some extra right of way needed in rough stretches.

Obituary: Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Fulton dies in California

Word came this week of the death of Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Fulton on December 19 from a brain complication after a lifelong cartarrhal trouble. Born May 1656 in Perry County Pennsylvania, she married D. B. Fulton in 1884 and left five children. The Fultons lived on a farm near Ogaliah and were held in high esteem by friends and neighbors. The World and many friends extend sympathy to Mr. Fulton and his children.

Wedding Bells Unite Gilmore and Hezen in 1908 Ceremony

Charles Henry Gilmore and Miss Sylvia Caro Hazen united in marriage at the bride's parents home in Wilkos township on December 27, 1908. Rev. P. W. Dorr officiated with a Methodist Episcopal service. About 35 guests attended a generous repast, and gifts were exchanged. The groom is from Dawson, Pennsylvania, and the bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Hazen of Willcox township. They plan to reside in Dawson after visiting Havana, Kansas.
