On February 14 at the Blair home the Wa Keeney Locust Club ladies held their Sth annual banquet honoring husbands. Guests met a gypsy reader, admired a green and gold web with heart names, enjoyed a three course dinner, stories of pioneer days, a song, and games. One guest predicted strong hair lines for a man. hosts Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Blair were thanked for a delightful evening by attendees.

Cyrus E Peirce age 65 died February 2 1911 at his daughter Mrs J F Jones Wa Keeney. Survived by wife two children five grandchildren one sister and many friends. Masons conducted funeral at M E Church and burial at Gove cemetery after long service in McPherson and Gove counties. Peirce born October 15 1845 in Penfield Monroe Co. Michigan. Married Sarah E Honeywell 1859 and had seven children two survive Lewis and Lucilia. Civil War veteran, later sheriff, U S marshal, deputy revenue collector then Register of Deeds of Gove County.
