The countywide Spanish influenza ban under Dr Herrick may expire next Sunday night with no new cases reported in the last days. He cautioned continued vigilance, urged staying home when ill, and warned the next week could still bring outbreaks though city sickness has been lower than last year.
Mrs. Bertha Alice Jeffers Lofstead of Ogallah township died February 4 after pneumonia and influenza. She leaves eight children and her husband Chas. Lofstead. a sister Mrs. George Musgrave also survives. Funeral conducted by Rev. Wade at Ogallah Cemetery. She was a longtime Methodist.
Florence Edna Tidball born October 14 1883 near Collyer Kansas married Alpha D Parsons October 27 1904. She leaves three children Robert Hugh Eva Jame Ellen, husband, parents, and brothers. She died February 4 1920 after influenza and is buried at Collyer Union Cemetery. A public funeral will follow when health conditions allow. Card of Thanks from husband and children to neighbors for support.
Harvey A. McCoy was born December 20, 1897 and died February 7 after uranic poisoning. He married Hazel Wanker January 21 and is survived by his father John A. McCoy, his mother, five brothers, two sisters, and his wife. Funeral at Leland cemetery conducted by Rev. J. E. Naylor with a large crowd and many young men paying respects.
