Red Cross Notes Details Gauze Work Rules and Fund Drive
Thirty workers met at the Red Cross workroom last Thursday and split into gauze and garment crews. Gauze workers will meet Mondays at 1 30, must wear coveralls aprons and hair coverings to keep gauze antiseptic and prevent handling by others or children. Sixteen gauze workers produced 270 wipes last Monday. A February 12 progressive dinner is planned by the Trego County Chapter to raise funds, Lincoln's birthday date noted. Financials for November and December list sales of buttons and supplies and war fund contributions by subscribers and members including numerous named individuals and grades.
