A Rush Center woman, Mrs Hutt, 27s mother-in-law to a local restaurant owner, was killed when crossing the tracks as a westbound C W railroad train from Great Bend neared 1 PM. Shooting Affray in Farnsworth Leaves Sheriff to Hear Case
Capt P W Hey of Farnsworth was shot by Jacob Carroll in a Farnsworth store last Sunday evening. Five bullets struck Hey, with non fatal wounds reported to his hands shoulder and abdomen. Carroll claimed self defense. Hey had confronted Carroll over his attentions to Hey's daughter. Carroll was bailed for February 4 preliminary trial amid lynching talks.

Military Reservations to be Sold at Fort Dodge
