County High School Tax Structure and Comparisons

The county high school tax combines a three fourths mill building fund levy and a one half mill maintenance levy for a total of one and one fourth mills. Tax examples show calf ten dollars yields one and one fourth cents, a 100 dollar horse yields twelve and a half cents, a 1000 dollar property yields 1.25 dollars, and a 10,000 dollar farm yields 1250 dollars. The county tax is among the lowest in Trego county, with township taxes in three of seven townships one fifth higher, and district taxes in many districts running three to six times the county levy.

Blue Ribbon Thanksgiving at Flyr Home

The Flyr home hosted a Blue Ribbon Thanksgiving with sixty guests and a 16 foot table on the south porch surrounded by thirty children. Mrs. W. M.
