Thanksgiving Day at Walker s Scheel House Observed

Thanksgiving at Walker s Scheel House featured a long feast with a twenty foot table, indoor games, and music while neighbors shared food and fellowship. An offering of 13 dollars supported the needy overseas as 77 attendees gathered for the day. A Fort Hays Normal short course opened with addresses by Governor Hodges and Prof War McKeever, drawing about 2500 in attendance.
