Golden Belt Meeting At Oakley Sets Attendance Record
The Golden Belt Educational association held a historic Oakley session last Friday and Saturday with 211 enrollments, one more than Wa Keeney’s prior year. Trego county contributed two students and five teachers, high school work drew praise, and Prof. Glodfelter noted strong exhibit merit. The next meeting will be in Russell.

High School Notes report Mae Parinton's return after illness and room 4 improvements during Thanksgiving. A joint program occurred Friday afternoon by two societies. Trego won the banner for attendance at the Golden Belt Association. Principal J.H. Niesley serves as Golden Belt Educational Association president. An upcoming basketball game on Trego grounds pits GCHS against TC HS with another victory credited to Trego.

Isase Pranklin Smith Dies in Oregon Hospital at 55
Isase Pranklin Smith born December 21 1552 in Switzerland County Indiana died at The Dalles Hospital Oregon on Sunday evening at 10 minutes before o'clock aged 55 years 10 months and 2 days. He married Kivira Adkinson September 2 1 and had three children. He was a respected farmer and devoted family man. He joined the Methodist church at 19 and led his Browne ll Kansas home church for thirteen years before moving 22 years ago. Survived by wife three sisters one brother and his children and many friends.
