The Great Choice prayer meeting and school recital
The Baptist church invites all to a Wednesday 7 30 prayer meeting led by Rev J E Naylor. On Tuesday November 25 Miss Ione Kraus in district 28 Charles Folkers neighborhood organized a Thanksgiving program at the schoolhouse. Ten children performed The Brownie Song to applause. A part of the 50 25 box supper proceeds will fund an organ for the school. Miss Kraus is praised for her musical efforts and the overall success of the school program.

Cattle Prices Advance as Receipts Lag Demand
Light livestock receipts this week lifted cattle and sheep prices with cattle ranges from 10.50 to 15.50 per head and cows to 12.00 for best. Hogs opened lower but recovered, top at 14.50, others 14 to 14.40. lambs up 25, sheep 50, yearlings strong. Freight switchmen strike ended, packers operate on fuel oil.
