Ladies Baseball Game Aids Red Cross Fund At Fair Grounds
The married and unmarried ladies staged a friendly baseball game at the fair grounds on Wednesday. The event drew a large crowd and generated 321.46 in cash receipts with net proceeds around 275 for the Red Cross. Vendors sold ice cream and soft drinks as Miss Jake Heckman officiated. The event featured a lively brass band and humorous antics, and the day left locals with lasting memories of community support.
