Ten thousand Delco light plants were sold in the United States during July 1919. The ad argues the farmer and the housewife both benefit, noting labor woes of harvest time and urging women’s efficiency, with Ray C. Hall of Ellis Kansas promoting the plant as a labor saver for households.
The Trego County Fair will run September 9 to 12 with aero plane flights by Lt Falkner and attractions from Clarks Carnival Company. Free acts include baseball games an aerial ball act and horse races. Livestock exhibits will be large with shipments of pure bred stock both to Ellis and eastern counties and into the county. Signs for the event urge orders for cloth signs and show cards as fair week approaches.
The 1919 Central Kansas Holiness camp meeting at the Fair Grounds closed Sunday after a ten day session. Rev. Taylor of Bismark North Dakota led the meeting which drew fewer Wa Keeney attendees. A campaign seeks 2500 to fund a worker for central and western Kansas to boost interest in future meetings, with about 1000 already subscribed. Businessmen of Wa Keeney are urged to support and advertise to attract 500 to 1000 visitors yearly.
J O Southard of Comisky Kansas sold eighty head of herefords at an average 482 per head. Dollie a two year old heifer brought 2500 to W N Blaney of Denver. Dollie bred by L H Galloway on the Galloway ranch in Saline and shown at the Trego County Fair. The herd is being developed for future exhibitions and fairs.

Gibson fountain pens, Wa Keeney State Bank, Rogers Clothing Co., S. M. Hutzel real estate, W. F. Swiggett poultry and coal, and E. A. Kellogg notices. The piece also notes the marriage of Chris Fellers and Ida M. Morgan in Ness City, their home to be in the city, plus a report that Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Simpson and kin from Indiana are visiting northeast of town.
