Missing man swindles with forged checks in Kansas town
J W Glenwood alias Warring, posing as a Kansas City Star correspondent, stayed at the Trego Hotel with clerk C E Ridgway. He induced Ridgway to write $1 and $1 60 checks in exchange for a silver dollar and laundry, then fled after altering the checks to 31 and 41 60. He is not located, last seen at Limon Junction Colorado. Ridgway vows to avoid further credit to strangers.
