Individuals who think their property is among these articles should contact the Adjustant General of the army in Washington with identifying details for return.

J Simpson reports wheat at WaKeeney area averaging thirty bushels per acre with test weight sixty two pounds. Oats yield fifty nine percent bushels per acre testing thirty seven pounds. Barley yields forty three bushels per acre. Other farmers in Graham and Trezo counties report varied yields from ten to thirty bushels per acre across multiple fields.

Walsh well No 1 drilling event draws wide western Kansas crowd
Last Sunday in Trego County six miles north of Collyer the Walsh well No 1 started, drawing an estimated five to six thousand people and about 1500 cars. The California outfit features an 84 foot derrick, 2200 pound drill bit, 5000 pound assembly, 35 hp engine and 45 hp boiler. Coal limits continuous drilling until stockpiles arrive. over 100 feet reached midweek as Morland and Collyer played a baseball game 6 to 5.
