Ninety nine men notified for military service examined

Ninety nine young men of Trego county were summoned to appear at the courthouse for Army qualification examinations. Only two failed to appear. Twenty six did not claim exemptions, signaling readiness for service if fit. A new draft is planned with about one hundred more to be examined next week.

Northwest Kansas Holiness association camp meeting attended

The Northwest Kansas Holiness association camp meeting at the Trego County Fair grounds is well attended by local residents and distant members. Mrs. Crist of Denver leads the services with singing by Mr. Ong of California. Campers praise the fair grounds as an improvement over the old site east of Ogallah and listeners anticipate growing local interest each year.
