A group of Trego county farmers met at the courthouse on Tuesday afternoon to hear Professor Ten Eyck of the State Agricultural College discuss a Farmer's Institute. Elected officers for one year include President E. D. Wheeler, Wa-Keeney. secretary-treasurer A. T. Greenwood, Wa-Keeney. vice presidents Co. C. Vetter Ogallah, Harlan Wa-Keeney, Frank Acre Collyer. Professor Ert spoke on dairying and soil benefits. Ten Eyck detailed the Campbell system for conserving soil moisture, deep plowing, subsoil packing, soil mulch, and continued cultivation to sustain crops.
