Boy Killed by Accidental Gun Discharge at Clyde Gordon Ranch
An orphaned seventeen year old Walter R. Bongus died last Friday at the Clyde Gordon ranch southwest of town when a shotgun discharged while moving the weapon on a wagon after a calf snagged. Coroner ruled accidental death. Bongus had been working with Gordon and his father in the area. Body sent to Manhattan for burial.

WaKeeney to Host 102nd Odd Fellows Anniversary
WaKeeney to host the 102nd anniversary celebration of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges in Golden Belt district drawing five to six hundred delegates from Kansas. Public program at the court house features Rev. W. R. Woodward, banquet at the fair grounds, then first and Rebekah degrees by local lodges.
