County ticket vote counts show Grimshaw likely elected
Early voting in the county drew strong crowds as ballots were tallied. Grimshaw led the judge race with strong shows in Columbia and Wenatchee and appeared elected by the time 25 ballots were counted. Ferguson led for sheriff briefly while Insche gained in Wenatchee and J W Hutchinson drew notable support. Martin Spencer led Bousquet for treasurer in most precincts.

William A. Grimshaw is elected superior judge by a heavy majority. In Wenatchee and nearby precincts he leads nearly two to one, with Lakeside and Cashmere showing Grimshaw ahead. Final returns at 4 p.m. show Grimshaw leading by about 300 votes. Reeves trailing across multiple counties.
