Ranchers oppose Otis in Chelan County Second District race
The Second District Square Deal Club, a nonpartisan Chelan county voters group, blasts Commissioner Otis for lavish road and bridge spending near his Peshastin and Merritt properties and neglect of other district roads. They cite bridges on Peshastin Creek and the Wenatchee river area costing tens of thousands, and warn local roads, including Chumstick and Leavenworth routes, deteriorate under his term. They urge Otis's retirement, naming campaign committee members.
