Off the Mexican coast the Australian steamship Hermine blocked by a dense mass of small lobsters, jammed in a circulation pump, forcing a halt for a five gallon bucket to be removed. The report notes surface sown with lobsters resembling a floating island as it nears Puget Sound. Water from hillside yields new springs near Malaga
E F Johnson developed a hillside spring for J H McGohan and Claude Graves on land at Malaga. By tunneling 30 feet into the hill he found six inches of water where only 1% inches existed. Four additional small springs remain, with expected total yield of about 40 inches.
