Morrison, who was attempting a shortcut to Eddystone, was saved by Peet and two others. The shepherd dog, owner unknown, scampered away after the rescue. Also noted are brief local notices of R P Wright traveling to Seattle, John Briskey to Cashmere, and J M Ellis with his wife heading to Alaska.
