Narrow escape at Wenatchee Steam Laundry fire
A small blaze broke out at the Wenatchee Steam Laundry Saturday evening when a hot electric iron ignited the ironing board. Marshal Ferguson raced to the scene and, with bystanders, quickly extinguished the flames. Officials note the current was off when the night ended, but its reactivation remains unexplained.

May Sue State of Washington for $31000
State Commissioner Riseland may sue the state of Washington for 31000, transferred from the fish department fund to the general fund by the last legislature. The money, accumulated under T R Kershaw, comes from cannery men trap license payments and should aid fish propagation. Dee Fisher sues W T Bighme for 10000 alleging alienation of affection. Complaint states between March 10 and June 15 1907 the defendant urged the plaintiff s wife to divorce and offered money to secure the divorce with an agreement to marry her. It is alleged the defendant furnished 100 to the wife of the plaintiff who then left for Seattle.
