Dutch lifeboats save ten from Berlin wreck in Dutch harbor
After over thirty hours of efforts the Dutch lifeboatmen reached the British steamer Berlin ashore yesterday morning and rescued ten survivors from the stern section. The crew battled mountainous seas and foiled by tides before finally taking the last survivors at 3 30 p m. In separate news, an east bound Northern Pacific train delay near Ritzville caused a washout halt, and a blown cylinder head delayed service three miles west of the city until repairs could be arranged.
