Gunn Submits Power Proposition To City Council
At a city council meeting last night Arthur Gunn of Wenatchee Electric Co proposed supplying power to pump water from the Columbia River for the summer season April through October at 3 dollars per horsepower per month. City usage would be 75 to 125 horsepower, aiming to cut annual city costs from 10 000 to 12 000 dollars to about 2 700 dollars. Earlier estimates had the company to furnish year round power with a higher maintenance charge. The issue is under advisement for later action. H J Olive won the bid to export the city books for two years back.
