New Columbia Power Company Formed to Supply Wenatchee
Articles of incorporation for Columbia Power Company prepared by local lawyers and filed soon. W. T. Clarke Marvin Chase and F. M. Scheble head the venture with $100000 capital to generate about 4000 horsepower on the Wenatchee River. Plant planned fifteen miles above Wenatchee with canal from two miles above current intake to the site. Water appropriation notices filed. delivery to Wenatchee area expected next fall.

Refreshments were served at the end of the evening. Roller Skate Masquerade at Wenatchee rink draws crowd
The second winter masquerade on roller skates drew 40 to 50 skaters at the Wenatchee rink last evening. Croellare's orchestra provided music while spectators filled the hall. Prizes went to Ham Flyatt for first, Emma Berger for second, and C J Evans for third in an Indian basket work contest. Judges were Money E France and J Br Yerguson. Next Friday hosts a Nard Times skating party.

Presbyterian Ladies Aid Social Sleigh Trip to Fish Home
The Presbyterian church Ladies Aid held a social at Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Fish home west of the High Line canal. About fifty attended as three sleighs carried guests from the church at seven. Games music and a delicious supper followed with profits around ten dollars.

Ice Crop Bears Fruit On Family Farm Near Waterville
A. L. Corbaley near Waterville harvested ice from a half acre, filling springs to flood the land. He sold 215 loads of ice weighing 3000 pounds each, totaling 654000 pounds and earning about 483.75 dollars while other crops failed. Much of the ice measured 169 inches thick.

Senate considers committee to study Northern Pacific land claims
Washington February 8 Senator Heyburn introduced a resolution in the senate to appoint a special committee of five senators to investigate the reorganization of the Northern Pacific railroad property. The panel would determine what title and estates the corporation created by act of Congress July 2 1864 holds and why the charter acts should not be repealed if any title exists.
